Are there rebates for installing an EV charger in Canada? Canada

Yes, but they vary by province and utility. Quebec's Roulez vert program offers $600 toward a home Level 2 charging station, and several provinces and utilities run their own residential and commercial programs. Federally, the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) funds workplace, fleet, public and multi-unit charging (its latest intake is closed, with the program running to March 2027). Use the finder above to see programs for your province.

Are there tax credits for EV chargers in the United States? United States

The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (IRS Section 30C) covers 30% of residential charger costs up to $1,000 per port, and up to $100,000 per item for commercial installs meeting prevailing-wage rules. It applies only when the install address is in an eligible census tract, and the charger must be installed and operational by June 30, 2026. Many states and utilities add their own rebates. Use the finder above.

Do Soneil Spark chargers qualify for these rebates? Eligibility

Most programs fund any safety-certified Level 2 or DC charger, though some require specific certifications or networked (smart) chargers. Check the eligible-equipment list on the program's page, or contact our team and we'll confirm for your program.

How do I claim an EV charger rebate? Eligibility

Most rebates are claimed after installation through the program's official page, with your purchase receipt and electrician's invoice. Tax credits like the US Section 30C are claimed on your tax return. A few utility programs apply at point of sale. Keep all documentation, including permit and inspection records where required.

Can I combine multiple incentives? Eligibility

Often, yes. For example, a utility rebate can usually be combined with a federal tax credit. Some programs reduce their payout by the amount of other funding you receive, so check each program's stacking rules before you count on the full total.

How current is this rebate information? Eligibility
