BC Hydro EV charger rebates and home charging in BC

In British Columbia, home EV charger incentives come from provincial programs such as CleanBC and from BC Hydro, and they change often. Confirm current amounts and eligibility on the official program pages before you buy.
Where to check for rebates
- BC Hydro. Check its EV pages for any current charger offers and for rate options.
- CleanBC. The provincial program page lists current vehicle and charger incentives, if any are open.
- Your municipality or strata. Some offer local help or have rules for installing a charger.
Overnight rates with BC Hydro
BC Hydro offers time-of-day pricing, which lowers the price over overnight hours (11pm to 7am) and needs a smart meter. It is opt-in, so check the current price and terms on BC Hydro’s site and see whether it suits how you charge.
