Federal
1. The federal tax credit covers 30% of an EV charging station, necessary equipment and installation costs. For residential installations, the IRS caps the tax credit at $1,000.

2. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering $3 Billion for port authorities and state, regional, local, and tribal agencies with jurisdiction over ports, and air pollution control agencies to deploy zero-emission port equipment and to purchase and install charging infrastructure through its Clean Ports Program. EPA will provide reimbursement of up to $500 Million, up to 80-90% of total eligible project costs, depending on applicant and project details. Applications will be evaluated competitively and will be accepted between February 2024 and May 2024.
3. The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program allocates $5 billion in funding for EV charging infrastructure across 75,000 miles of highway across the country. Your organization must be within one mile of an established alternative fuel corridor to qualify and may need to meet other requirements as well.
Wisconsin
1. RENEW Wisconsin’s EVs for Good initiative offers grants to nonprofit organizations interested in purchasing an EV and $500 for installing Level 2 or higher EV charging station. 2. Chippewa Valley Electric provides $400 rebates for residential customers installing a Level 2 EV charging station.
3. Clark Electric offers residential rebates of up to $800 for customers installing a Level 2 EV charging station or a smart charging station with a meter.
4. Pierce Pepin Cooperative $800 for installing a Level 2 EV charging station.

5. East Central Energy gives a $750 rebate to install a Level 2 charger on either the time-of-use rate or off-peak.
6. Price Electric Cooperative $500 for installing a Level 2 EV charging station.
7. Riverland Energy $800 rebate on certain Level 2 charging stations.
8. MGE offers a TOU rate for customers that own an EV. For more information, see the MGE Shift & Save website.
9. MGE residential customers can pay $20 per month for the installation and maintenance of a Level 2 EV charging station. Participants must sign a five-year service agreement. For more information, see MGE’s Charge@Home website.
10. Xcel Energy offers TOU rates to residential customers that own an EV. For more information, see the Xcel Energy EV Accelerate at Home website.
11. The Xcel Energy EV Accelerate at Home program offers to install and maintain Level 2 EV charging stations at residential locations.
