2. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering $3 Billion for port authorities and state, regional, local, and tribal agencies with jurisdiction over ports, and air pollution control agencies to deploy zero-emission port equipment and to purchase and install charging infrastructure through its Clean Ports Program. EPA will provide reimbursement of up to $500 Million, up to 80-90% of total eligible project costs, depending on applicant and project details. Applications will be evaluated competitively and will be accepted between February 2024 and May 2024.
3. The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program allocates $5 billion in funding for EV charging infrastructure across 75,000 miles of highway across the country. Your organization must be within one mile of an established alternative fuel corridor to qualify and may need to meet other requirements as well.
Minnesota
1. Otter Tail Power Company offers a TOU rate to residential customers with electric vehicles (EV). The TOU rate only applies to electricity used to charge the EV. Otter Tail Power Company also offers residential customers a $500 rebate for the installation of a Level 2 EV charging station. Eligible customers must be enrolled in the EV TOU rate. 2. Xcel Energy offers two TOU rate options for residential customers that own an EV. The EV Accelerate at Home rate requires customers to choose an eligible, separately metered Level 2 charger that Xcel Energy installs and maintains. The Separate Meter rate only requires customers to install a separate meter to measure electricity used for EV charging. 3. Xcel Energy offers a pilot program for residential customers who own or lease an EV. The program provides discounted Level 2 EV charging equipment, installation, and charging costs. 4. Xcel Energy offers commercial fleet customers a $50 annual bill credit for charging EVs during off-peak hours. Customers may receive a credit for each vehicle or EV charging station registered in the program. For more information, see the Xcel Energy Optimize Your Charge website.
5. Great River Energy provides rebates for the purchase or lease of Level 2 EV charging stations. Rebates are available for public, workplace, multifamily, and fleet charging stations. 6. Connexus Energy offers a rebate of up to $500 to residential customers for the installation of a qualified Level 2 EV charging station. Eligible applicants must enroll in a time-of-use rate.
7. Connexus Energy offers commercial customers a rebate of up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of a Level 2 EV charging station. Eligible applicants include public entities and workplaces.
